National Awareness Months

Several months are recognized nationally throughout the year, bringing attention to issues related to violence against women and providing an opportunity to celebrate, mourn, and connect. We encourage you to visit the campaign websites below for resources and ideas on promoting these awareness months in your work to end violence against women, and to find events related to each campaign.

National Stalking Awareness Month January is National Stalking Awareness Month, a time that challenges our nation to fight this dangerous crime by learning more about it. The National Stalking Awareness Month Web site offers tools to inspire your efforts to know, name, and stop stalking in your community. http://www.stalkingawarenessmonth.org/

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (TDVAM), bringing national focus to the issue of teen dating violence, highlighting the need to educate our youth about healthy relationships, raising awareness among those who care for them, and providing communities with a critical opportunity to work together to prevent this devastating cycle of abuse. http://www.teendvmonth.org/ Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month
