Program: Jenny's Heroes provides grants to US citizens for projects to improve their communities. The recipient may not keep any of the funds for his or her personal use, all funds must be spent on the approved community project, the project must benefit a number of people, not just one individual and the project must have significant long term benefits.

Program: The State Justice Statistics Program is designed to maintain and enhance each state’s capacity to address criminal justice issues through the collection and analysis of data. Program: The purpose of this program is to help survivors of domestic violence obtain an education that will in turn offer them the chance to secure employment, personal independence and self-sufficiency. Support is available for full or part-time students interested in attending vocational, community college, four-year degree or graduate studies programs.
Award: Varies-average award is $2,000 per school term
Eligibility: A woman who meets the following requirements is eligible to apply: survived intimate partner abuse & has been separated from their abuser a minimum of one year; is a citizen or legal resident of the United States; has applied to or is officially accepted into an accredited course of study at a United States institution; demonstrates a critical need for financial assistance; exhibits a strong desire and the ability to complete a training and/or academic program; has a definite plan to use the desired training to upgrade skills for career advancement, to train for a new career field, or to enter or reenter the job market; and has sought services from a non-profit, domestic violence agency for a minimum of 6 consecutive months, and this agency is willing act as sponsor by mentoring and providing support to the student throughout her educational experience

Website: Women’s Independence Scholarship Program (WISP)

Program: This program assists workers in the field of domestic violence to develop or enhance skills necessary to increase their effectiveness in serving their clients. CASS also assists the support staff of such agencies to develop business skills. Support is available for students interested in attending community college, four-year degree or graduate studies programs. Funds for graduate studies are limited. Programs in social work, counseling, psychology, accounting, non-profit management and business management will be considered for support.
Award: Scholarships are limited to $3,000 per academic year for assistance with tuition, fees and necessary books and supplies.

Admin Agency: National Network To End Domestic Violence-NNEDV
Program: Amy’s Fund, sponsored by NNEDV, provides emergency financial assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children to meet their immediate needs after escaping abuse. Funds may be used for: moving/transportation costs associated with escaping abuse; rent and security deposits for new, safe homes; utilities, medical expenses; legal fees and expenses for filing for protective orders, custody agreements and divorce; car repairs/transportation needs; and furniture, appliances, clothing and other household goods. Any adult survivor of domestic violence working with a domestic violence shelter/program or domestic violence coalition may apply for this funding

Admin Agency: R.O.S.E. Fund
Program: The R.O.S.E. Fund provides women survivors with free access to a wide range of medical, dental and facial reconstructive surgery procedures. These ROSE Fund surgeries and medical services are available to women survivors of domestic violence who suffer from medical issues that are a direct result of domestic violence incidents. Surgeries and procedures range from scar revisions and dental work to cosmetic reconstructive surgery for the head neck, and face.
Award: Free reconstructive surgery
Eligibility: Candidate eligibility is determined by and at the sole discretion of The R.O.S.E. Fund and its medical partners. The R.O.S.E. Fund is actively looking for applicants for this program.

Program: Grantees use these funds to provide an array of supports and services for low-income individuals and families to become more economically self sufficient. A primary feature of each AFI project is that project participants are given access to special matched savings accounts called Individual Development Accounts (IDA). Participants open an IDA and save earned income in the account regularly with the goal of accumulating savings to acquire an economic asset that will appreciate over time, including a home, business or higher education attainment. AFI demonstrations also must include financial literacy education and coaching.
Award: $15 million for 50 awards

Program: The purpose of this program is to support the resettlement of newly arriving refugees in preferred communities where they have ample opportunities for early employment and sustained economic independence and to address special populations who need intensive case management, culturally and linguistically appropriate linkages, and coordination with other service providers to improve their access to services.

Program: The purpose of this announcement is to support new research or an extension to existing research that identifies modifiable protective factors for IPV (Interpersonal Violence) and/or SV (Sexual Violence) perpetration that can be leveraged to improve primary prevention efforts, and empirically tests the extent to which these factors are associated with IPV or SV perpetration. There will be two projects funded-one with an IPV focus and one with a focus on SV by any perpetrator.
Award: 2 awards for a maximum amount of $350,000 for the first 12 month budget period

Program: The program provides financial and technical assistance to develop and imple-ment drug courts that effectively integrate evidenced-based substance abuse treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives and transitional services in a judicially supervised court setting with jurisdiction over substance-abusing offenders.
Award: Category 1: Grant maximum of $350,000 with a project period of 36 months; Category 2: Grant maximum of $200,000 with a project period of 24 months; Category 3: Grant maximum per applicant for Subcategories A and B od $1.5 million with a project period of 36 months
