Laws & Public Policy

Abuse in later life has a profound effect on millions of older adults as well the people who love and care for them. Older victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking are being harmed every day. As 10,000 baby boomers turn 65 every day, cases of elder abuse are increasing. Check out the Take Action tab on NCALL’s website for information on ways you can make a difference.

The documents in this section provide some information about laws and public policies related to elder abuse.

“Despite its name, WomensLaw.org provides information that is relevant to people of all genders, not just women. Our Email Hotline will provide legal information to anyone who reaches out with legal questions or concerns regarding domestic violence, sexual violence, or any other topic covered on WomensLaw.org.”
